The serpent’s words travel down the conduit of history, philosophy and religion and its practical outworking is seen as evidence of these words spoken those millennia ago.
Now the serpent was more subtill then any beast of the field, which the LORD God had made, and he said vnto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of euery tree of the garden?

Yet living breathing men of the modern age seem to think that their thoughts are somehow original and that the goal of this life is to stand out while of course the practical demonstration is the very opposite and that is to conform to society’s ideals so as not to isolate ones-self. They yearn to have thoughts that only they have ever had but this simply is not so. The very things they conceived in their minds are by in large implanted by the serpent from birth.
And the Serpent said vnto the woman, Ye shall not surely die.
For God doeth know, that in the day ye eate thereof, then your eyes shalbee opened: and yee shall bee as Gods, knowing good and euill.
We think that we are unique, special and our identity is more important than anything and yet all we do is follow the words of the serpent through this echo in our minds that we isolate as our own. Nothing is further from the truth. Our very fabric is flawed. We are unredeemed in our own justification of our thoughts and actions.
For all haue sinned, and come short of the glory of God,
So from our earliest memories we as a child we try to justify ourselves by the process of comparison. We tell ourselves that our actions and thoughts are not really that bad are they? After all that father of three who murdered a small child dumping the body at a train station is bad and not me. I am relatively good. I conform to all of the expectations of society don’t I?
And bee not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renuing of your minde, that ye may proue what is that good, that acceptable and perfect will of God.
We live in this world and do not steal (just tiny things) or lie (only when absolutely necessary to protect someone) so we are basically good. We do not murder or commit adultery (just view some internet content but that does not hurt anyone) and we go to work each day and pay our bills on time.
Ye shall not surely die.
That is right isn’t it? Nothing we do or thoughts we have actually hurt us do they? I eat well and exercise, try stay positive and watch uplifting films and read motivational books to enhance myself so I am improving day by day.
Knowing that a man is not iustified by the works of the Law, but by the faith of Iesus Christ, euen we haue beleeued in Iesus Christ, that we might be iustified by the faith of Christ, and not by the workes of the Law: for by the workes of the Law shall no flesh be iustified.
Yet the same words keep bouncing around in our mind over and over. “No-one knows” my thoughts so as long as I keep speaking positive I will not hurt anyone and I will be alight
Ye shall not surely die.
That is correct. I am not hurting anyone. I should be able to be myself as long as I do not affect anyone else. Who is God anyway and what has he ever done for me. Where was he when my father died of cancer so horribly!
The foole hath sayd in his heart, There is no God: they are corrupt, they haue done abominable workes, there is none that doeth good.
I need to be faithful to my own identity and live my own life we say to our selves. But whose life are we actually living? That depends on whose child you are doesn’t it?
Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lusts of your father ye will doe: hee was a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Conclusion
Before we come to God the father through Jesus Christ our real father is Lucifer the God of this world. John Doerr, for example, says he has never met anyone who admits that they are deceived. So before we are born again by the Spirit of God that is our default state. It is why in Job 40:41 speaks about the Behemoth spewing out so many variations of the truth as to deceive the whole world. In essence they are all lies to distract and confound all of mankind through out the ages. They discredit God’s true Word. People drink his word and believe it in their hearts however like wormwood it poisons them. The goal of such regurgitation is to hide the true Word of God in plain sight amongst the hundreds of counterfeits. The true testimony of Gods Word can be found in the 1611 translation of the English bible. This bible culminates the witness of Gods Word to us today.
