Introduction

Revelation 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisedome. The seuen heads are seuen mountaines, on which the woman sitteth.

The ancient church fathers knew the Anti Christ would rise. They taught that he would be ecclesial and a political power.

Tertullian – second to third century. He recognized the Roman Kingdom as the candidate of Anti Christ. He wrote an apology with this information in it as did Hipolitus of Rome (third century) recognized the vision in Daniel as the various historical empires. Cyprian of Carthage (third century) also wrote that the hateful time of anti Christ was already near. Irenaeus (130-202 AD) John and Daniel wrote of the end of the Roman Empire that will proceed the end of the world and eternal kingdom of Christ. Justin Martyr (100-165AD) said the anti Christ would come and speak strange things and oppose the church.

This goes on and on throughout the millennia. Each generation of Christ followers reiterate this over and over! Listen to the following video presentation by Reg BlockPatreon and YouTube. It goes into great detail and is a comprehensive summary on this subject.

Luther: If this is not Anti Christ then tell me who is? (paraphrased)

1 John 4: 1Beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the spirit of God: euery spirit that confesseth that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God. 3 And euery Spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof you haue heard, that it should come, and euen now already is it in the world.

Who does Daniel describe in chapter 11? 36 And the king shall doe according to his will, and he shall exalt himselfe, and magnifie himselfe aboue euery god, and shall speake marueilous things against the God of gods, & shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined, shall be done. 37 Neither shall hee regard the god of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnifie himselfe aboue all. 38 But in his estate shall he honour the god of forces: and a God whome his fathers knew not, shall hee honour with gold, and siluer, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
