How do names get entered into the book of life? Are they sometimes erased? What happens to you if your name is not found in the book of life?

KEEP THE FAITH
Who’s names are in the book of life?
Philippians 4:3,
“And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, helpe those women which laboured with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the booke of life.”
Fellow laborers in Christ have their names in the book of life; meaning saved persons.
What happens to those whose names are not found in the book of life?
Revelation 20:15,
“And whoseoeuer was not found written in the booke of life, was cast into the lake of fire.”
In other words, unsaved persons are not found in the book of life, and they are cast into hell. To go to heaven, your name must be in the book of life.
Are names entered permanently in the book of life?
Revelation 3:5,
“Hee that ouercommeth, the same shalbe clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the booke of life, but I will confesse his name before my Father, and before his Angels.”
We learn that God blots names out of the book of life.
Who can pluck persons out of the Father’s hand?
John 10:29,
“My father which gaue them me, is greater then all: and no man is able to plucke them out of my fathers hand.”
Does this verse teach eternal security? No. It says no man can pluck them out of the Father’s hand; however, God, the Father can.
Who will be saved?
Matthew 10:22,
“And yee shall be hated of all men for my Names sake: but he that endureth to the end, shalbe saued.”
You must endure to the end to be saved. This implies that some will fall away from the faith and not be saved. Enduring to the end means keeping the faith, not by works but by faith.
What is the only condition of salvation?
2 Timothy 7-8,
“I haue fought a good fight, I haue finished my course, I haue kept the faith. 8 Hencefoorth there is layde vp for me a crowne of righteousnesse, which the Lord the righteous iudge shall giue me at that day: and not to me only, but vnto them also that loue his appearing.”
Paul answers that question in 2 Timothy 7-8. He says, he has kept the faith, and because of that he will receive a crown or righteousness, which is a metaphor for salvation. As Jesus put it, “he that enureth to the end, shalbe sauved.” In other words keep the faith. Don’t fall away.
The bottom line is you are saved by faith and unsaved by loss of faith. Works has nothing to do with either. Romans 3:28 “Therefore wee conclude, that a man is iustified by faith, without the deeds of the Law.”
