Where are the aliens? They are fallen and are on this world.
Therefore reioyce, yee heauens, and yee that dwell in them; Woe to the inhabiters of the earth, and of the sea: for the deuill is come downe vnto you, hauing great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
“6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters: and let it diuide the waters from the waters.”
This is a second firmament. It is different than the first firmament (v.1). It is a “firmament in the midst of the waters,” (v.6) separating waters above from those below (v.7). It may refer to the separation of Earth’s seas and waters above (condensation from which come clouds and rain). However, it may describe a layer of water at the edge of the universe. Or, as some have suggested, it means a 26 Isaiah 5:20 27 Whether this is a literal 12-hour day is a subject of debate, as the sun had not yet been created; thus, there can be no measurement of a day based on the sun setting and rising.31 canopy of water surrounding Earth above the atmosphere – a canopy that possibly came down during Noah’s flood.
To distinguish the second firmament from the first, verse six uses an indefinite article “a;” thus, it is distinguished from “the Heauen,” definite article, in verse one; (I remind the reader that “Heauen” is defined in verse eight as “firmament”). Plainly, at this point there are mentioned in creation two firmaments, the first created in verse one and the second in verse six; one or the other represents “outer space” where all celestial bodies are resident, and the other, Earth’s atmosphere.
