The Golden Rule of Bible Interpretation I’ve been wanting to do this topic for a while and I’m taking my time making sure I cover things thoroughly before I release them. My weekly videos are being cut back because I want the quality and the duration to be, I think, more appropriate. I want to cover the subject matters thoroughly. I want to take enough time to do things right without being rushed. So I’m going to talk about the Golden Rule of Bible Interpretation. Please look at the screen.
The Golden Rule of Bible Interpretation?
When the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense. Therefore, take every word as its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning, unless the facts of the immediate context, studying in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise. God, in revealing His Word, neither intends nor permits the Christian to be confused. He wants his children to understand
Author Unknown?
The Golden Rule of Bible Interpretation so the reason I’m doing this topic is I’ve been sent this particular rule dozens of times over the years from various sources. It’s part of Christian apologetics and a lot of times it’s tagged at the end of Christian apologetic. And it’s very common, at least in some of the materials I receive from others. However, author unknown is a big problem. If somebody is sending Christian apologetics with author unknown, I’m assuming Author Unknown is Lucifer, then, because if it’s not Jesus Christ, if you’re not for Jesus Christ and it’s not coming from the Lord, where is it coming from? God forbid, if it comes from men, because we are carried away in the imagination of our evil hearts. So author unknown is a problem for me.
All teaching must be traceable to the Word of God. We do not need an unknown source giving counsel. So what is going on here? And it’s hard for me at times to believe why anyone would send something out like this without proving it and tracing it back to scripture. But our fallen human nature is such that if author unknown sounds good and it tickles our ears, then it must be true. It simply must be true. And that’s our problem as a fallen people throughout history going back to Genesis and all the way to the current time.
- So today I’m going to cover, I’m going to talk about this Golden Rule.
- The Author Unknown, which I said is a problem.
- But if we find the Author, what did that person believe?
- If we can find the Author and then who can discern God’s Word?
- So if we’ve got this Golden Rule and somebody is telling us about this, then who’s going to discern God’s word?
- And what does the Word of God say about this subject matter?
- And what do some 1611 Bible believers think of Cooper’s rule?
Every time I do a video sermon lesson, I’m certainly expressing what the Holy Spirit has taught me off the Pure Word of God. But I also am edified by Other 1611 Believers. And I’m Not Afraid to Reach Out and Ask Others for What Their Beliefs Are. What Has the Lord taught them? What Is Their Discernment?
So I’m going to share some of that today, and Then I’m Going to give A Conclusion. But first, what I’m going to do is I’m Going to quote a Little Bit of Scripture in Second Peter, Chapter One, Verse 20.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any priuate Interpretation:
21For the prophecie came not in olde time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moued by the holy Ghost.
So the Holy Ghost recorded a Perfect Testimony through the Prophets, and God teaches believers how that testimony is discerned. First of all, you have to have the Holy Spirit, and with that, the Holy Spirit, you have to have a gift of The Holy Spirit which comes To All believers, but you may not have The Same gift as somebody else. So the Body Of believers comes together and they edify One another. And then there are other rules that God Puts In place for discerning Scripture, but it’s not privately interpreted. So if you have Passages of Scripture, they appear in spiritual language in other places, recorded By Other prophets so that we don’t get a cult like interpretation that confuses us.
That’s something that Every Christian needs to know and understand. And I’ll go into this a Little further today. In Revelation, Chapter 22, it says,
18 For I testifie vnto euery man that heareth the wordes of the prophesie of this booke, If any man shal adde vnto these things, God shall adde vnto him the plagues, that are written in this booke.
19 And if any man shall take away from the wordes of the booke of this prophesie, God shal take away his part out of the booke of life, and out of the holy citie, and from the things which are written in this booke.
So God is very serious about Tampering with His Word. You cannot break The Scripture. You are not to add to or diminish from the Word of God in Any Way. And God uses fallible people to preserve His Word. Otherwise, if we don’t have a pure testimony and We Start leaning On Our Own Understanding, we’re In Big trouble. So I wanted to at least make a Couple of points here first. So, for example, private interpretation. If There Is a precept being taught in a place like Daniel, chapter Five, verse ten, it’s going to appear somewhere else in Scripture. If I’m going from memory, Song of Solomon, chapter two, maybe verse four might connect. I’m just going from memory here based on what the Lord has taught me, and then it’ll appear in other places. But you have to have the Holy Spirit with spiritual language leading you to this understanding.
So I’m going to go on here. It says, when the plain sense of Scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense, therefore take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning, unless the facts of the immediate context studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths indicate clearly otherwise. Dr David L. Cooper is the author and he was born in 1886 and died in 1965. He was known to be the founder of the Bible Research Society. And I give a link there if you want to learn more about Cooper. I also give some other links that I studied down below the image of his face. But when I read this, I’m thinking, it doesn’t make any sense to me.

What is this guy talking about? I feel like I’m a fairly intelligent person, but what I decided to do is I went out to people that are straight a master’s degree or higher types that believe the 1611 Bible, that have the Holy Ghost, that have outstanding reading comprehension, that have tested, no one has tested at higher levels than these individuals. And I wanted their feedback and I’m going to give that before the end of this sermon lesson. So who is the author? Unknown. Doctor David L. Cooper. Now, anytime somebody puts a title in front of them like doctor, it better be for a reason, like you’re a medical doctor that you’ve gone through medical school. But if it’s something else, let’s just say in a secular profession like you’re a doctor of some type of physical therapy or some type of therapy doctor, okay, it’s an academic title that’s earned and there’s a lot of hard work that goes into it. And I can understand that.
When it comes to Christianity, it’s a laughable title because God rebukes it. Anything you know as a Christian comes from the Holy Spirit feeding you on the pure word of God. That’s it. God is not a respecter of persons. We’re all confounded. None of us are seeking God. We have no idea who God is, save that he reveal himself unto those whom he chooses. So doctor to me means, okay, I’ve spent a lot of time learning from Lucifer in a seminary because in my opinion, every single seminary and every Christian apologetic not linked to the Holy Spirit feeding on the true word of God with faith is coming from Lucifer. That’s how I view Christianity and the related apologetics. So automatically I am really taken back by someone who gives himself a flattering title.
I was beaten nearly to death when I got born again. I endured the chastening by the grace of God. And the last thing, when he allowed me to recover and get up out of my chasing after a long, long time, the last thing I was going to do was exalt myself in any way. And I would never think of any title or flattering title that would indicate in any way that my knowledge of Scripture is superior to others because it’s all coming from the Holy Spirit. So who was Cooper and what Bible did he believe was God’s Word? So I started to look into this because I’m thinking Vatican.
As soon as I see the title doctor, I’m thinking 100% of these guys are Vatican influenced, and most of them don’t even understand Roman Catholicism or what the Vatican is all about anyway, other than what they’ve seen on TV or read in the newspapers or heard from other people. But Cooper used the Vatican influence American Standard version in his apologetics. That was 100% of everything that he quoted. That’s what I found. And he was selected to be part of the original new American Standard Bible translation team, which was a revision of the American Standard Version. So he was linked to this text, and to me, he was also a Christian apologist. So he was putting out his version of wisdom, of what God was teaching. People from the Vatican influence text using scholarship, which is very typical. So why would anyone with the Holy Spirit feeding off of God’s Word need anything from the scholars of the Vatican influenced text?
Well, you don’t, and Jesus Christ talks about this. I’m going to continue. Cooper was identifying God’s Word using variance influenced by the text of Rome. My comments here, as far as the golden rule of Bible interpretation is plain speech. He talks about the plain sense of Scripture that’s for heathens, God did speak plainly. Jesus spoke plainly because there are messages that have to get through to people who don’t have a spiritual understanding. He rebuked his disciples at times because they didn’t understand what he was telling them. But they weren’t permanently in dwelt with the Holy Spirit until Pentecost. Okay, but he speaks plainly so that people that are lost can come to faith, and if they’re true believers, they can be born again, receive the Holy Spirit, and then start receiving spiritual things that they couldn’t when they were in a natural state.
So using this whole plain sense of Scripture as a rule is basically preserving a person in a heathen state of mind based on my understanding of Scripture. So God sends a spirit of slumber to close the eyes of believers when they feed on corruption. A big part of Scripture is God punishing his people because they don’t believe Him. They easily get misled, the sheep get off track, and Jesus has to go in his great mercy and bring Him back on board. So God, in revealing His Word, neither intends nor permits the Christian to be confused. That sounds great at first it sounds nice, but it’s absolutely false. God is happy to send a spirit of slumber and close the eyes of people that spew vomit all over their tables because they’re feeding on corruption. Yay. God said that’s a big part of what happens all throughout the Bible. God is rebuking his children and closing their eyes and they reap what they sow. So none of this golden rule is anywhere traceable to the teachings of Jesus Christ based on my understanding of being a born again believer.
Feeding on the 1611 Bible, did Cooper really think the Pope had the best manuscripts that the Vatican and cinematic manuscripts coming from Egypt, which is spiritual Babylon, according to the Lord Jesus Christ? Did he really think that the visible Antichrist to the Church of Satan has the best version of the word of God? Well, sure he did, because God chooses and sends delusions to non-believers and keeps them in a preserved heathen state. And nobody’s going to get saved unless God allows it. And I’m going to get to that coming up here soon. So did he believe the Vatican influence precepts such as the Rapture before tribulation, which I believe Cooper did believe that according to some of the things I read about him, his apologetics taking the mark of the beast? Jesus never says the mark of the beast is anything taken, but the scholars are confounded. So you get these buzzwords take the mark of the beast or KJV only movement.
Well, there’s no such thing as a KJV only movement because the KJV is not the 1611.
So the scholar has it wrong from the very beginning. And the only thing that’s moving is the overspreading of abominations from the Babylonian religion. All these false Bibles entering the markets make the 1611 Bible look like it’s moving when it’s really a rock in a miry river, a rock that is surrounded by myriad waters. And as the waters move down the river, then the allusion to the scholar is that the rock is moving, but the rock is not moving. The movement is the miry waters of the Babylonian faith that they’re immersed in. So that’s another silly thing that I hear out of the mouths of people when they say KJV only movement that’s fallacious.
There is no such thing. Wormwood is a meteor. That’s another precept of the Babylonian faith. Yeah, Cooper talked about that as well, Saturday or Sunday Sabbath. I don’t think I read too much about his belief there, but that’s another thing that typically comes from Roman Catholicism. And I don’t really have any respect for the Saturday or Sunday Sabbath keeping it’s a problem because Jesus says that you start making up rules and put yourself a little bit under the law, then you’re building yourself a standard that you’re not going to be able to meet. And so I believe my opinion is the Vatican has this argument back and forth about which day of the week is Sabbath, is a Saturday or Sunday, and if we force everybody to worship on Sunday, everybody is going to go to hell. And all this nonsense, that’s all the fruit of accepting papal concessions to the word of God. And I’ll do more sermons about that in the future. But my problem is biblical scholarship trying to explain a text that they cannot explain. They accept papal concessions. They don’t know who the enemy is. They’re using eleven lump. They’re in a natural state, and they’re trying to explain all of this to people that are wanting to be true believers or in some cases, are true believers.
Franklin Dewey Lockman, one of Cooper’s employers. Shortly before Cooper passed away, I got a quote here. The dollars cannot measure what Dewey Lockman meant. He was a well-known local leader and a philanthropist. He was active in the Gideon society for 31 years and a member of the Masonic order. I was a Gideon’s president for a while, and in my opinion, the whole organization is just infiltrated by Freemasons. I talked to a number of them as high as at least a 32nd degree level, a guy who confided to me in confidence that he was extremely scared at that level from the Freemasonry organization, and he barely escaped from it.
But the Gideon’s are all about promoting the Babylonian faith. They started out with a good old fashioned Blayney Bible that they said was the KGV, but it wasn’t. And now, in the last couple of decades, they’ve fastened on to a lot of these Vatican influenced modern bibles. So I got the heck out. I wrote a bunch of letters, and I told them that they’re going down a wrong path. What is Masonry? Former 90th degree Freemason Bill Sneblin, who I really appreciate Bill’s work. I think he’s under great attack. I don’t think his strength is in understanding of scripture necessarily, but God has him working for a specific purpose to a specific group of people. Bill and I would not agree on a lot of Bible doctrine, but this man has put his life on the line to reach out to people that are influenced by masonry and the Vatican.

And he’s the one that testified that the Jesuit order invented Masonry centuries ago in order to again oppress the so called rest of the world, whether it’s the Protestant faith or everyone else. You can see that he’s got a video there where he’s talking about masonry and this mason, Dewey Lockman. Franklin Lockman published the Vatican cinematic influence new American standard Bible, which was basically just taking the apparatus of Westcott and Hort, who completely came up with a new Bible called the revised version of the English language. In 1885, it was completed, and in my opinion, it was just a way for the Vatican to get their text out to everyone in the world without advertising it as the Jesuit reams or Dewey reams bible, because historically, the Catholic Church had used the Latin to English Jesuit reams or Dewey reams bible as their text.
But they had to reach out and sell the world some different merchandise of gold, silver, and precious stones in order to fulfil God’s word, ultimately deceive the whole world, and cause a spirit of slumber all over the world. So there’s my source, the Lockman Foundation has a website there if you want to see where that quote comes from. And I’ve put this up in the past a number of times, but I really felt it fit again this particular lesson. Cooper’s biblical world of truth were the text and the Bibles on the right side of the screen. Lamps with no oil. None of them satisfy one. John chapter four, the first three verses, there none of them. These are known as Leviathan’s lamps. There is no wisdom in them. I have the Holy Spirit in me. I read these Bibles and they’re natural testimonies. There is no spiritual truth or wisdom in any of them.
They are abominations to God. And there are lamps without oil. And nobody is going to get saved out of these. Or if somebody argues that they did well, where did the Holy Spirit lead you? Them. Because you’re not going to stay in one of these abominations and identify it as God’s word, because the power of the Holy Spirit is going to lead you to all truth. The left hand side of the screen would be Christian Bibles lamps with oil in them. So you got like the Geneva Bible, the Bishop’s Bible, the Tyndale Bible, the Coverdale Bible, ultimately leading up to the English authorized version of 1611, which again presents a huge problem for the Babylonian faith. So it was eleven zeroed over a period of time with subtle changes, and somehow mankind was convinced that you can make all these changes and still call it the 1611 Bible.
And it’s not so it’s got a broken scripture, it’s got a spirit of slumber attached to it, and it allows the Babylonians to sell their nonsense to people that are saved Christians, or in many cases saved Christians, because God has closed their eyes, because their table has been made a snare. As David says, when you feed on corruption, God’s going to punish us. And so the Blainey Bible, which is the Babylonians, and the scholars love to pay tribute to it. They love to pay lip service, but they’ve got newer, more older, more reliable ancient manuscripts that help us now understand God in a much better way. But they love to pay lip service to the silly Blayney Bible because it has a spirit of slumber attached to it, and there’s nobody that can really defend it that well. The discernment just isn’t there.
You need the 1611 Bible, and at that you need to be saved and you need to have the proper spiritual gifts. I’m going to put some slides up that I put up a couple of times before, but the purpose here is I want to show everybody down at the bottom of the screen. The bottom two rows would be cooper’s biblical understanding, his choice of the American Standard Version or the new American Standard Bible, which was a revision of the American Standard Version, but you can see that there’s no oil in the lamp. They don’t confess Jesus Christ is coming. The flesh, when it comes to verse three, it has to say, is come twice. I believe the American Standard Version just says, and every spirit that doesn’t confess Jesus is not of God. Well, that’s a lie. The devils also believe in trouble and legion confessed Jesus, Son of God.
So you have to go by what God says. And then, of course, these geniuses that modified the American Standard Version into this new American Standard Bible, they changed it from is come to has come. And why did they do that? Was it because of the Catholic Bible? The Revised Standard Version in I believe it could have been, instead of corrupting the word, now it’s trading the word of God. Jesus is still called the morning Star in Revelation, chapter 22, but then Lucifer is also called the star of the morning. Now, instead of Lucifer, so they make them co equals. And it’s probably appropriate that they do, because God’s going to make these abominations confess who they were written by, the God of this world who wants to be like the Most High. So it’s only fitting that Lucifer would want to change his title to be like the Most High. So it is all a fulfilment of God’s Word.
I’ve talked about this again. If you look down at the bottom, you’ve got the Song of Solomon, chapter two, verse seven, which is a woman, She Please. And the American Standard Version changed it to He Please. For what reason, I don’t know. They didn’t know pronouns, and instead of being drunk on wine, the American Standard Version changed it. And it was heavily influenced from the Westcott and Hort Revised Version of 1885. They changed it to Raisins, and they changed the slayer of the horse leech to she, implying that the horse leech has committed suicide rather than being slain by the viper. What’s interesting is that the new American Standard Bible claims to be so scholarly inaccurate, they actually changed the pronouns back. They recognized that the pronouns were incorrect, they changed them back to what they should be, but they kept raising cakes in place instead of flagons of wine, which ruined the whole Song of Solomon. And instead of describing wormwood, a final ecumenical Bible that cuts people off as a two edged sword, it’s now just something that’s purging people away.
They don’t really know what it is, but it must have happened a long time ago and we really don’t need to worry about it now. And of course, the Mark of the Beast location follows the Vatican teaching of on instead of in like it used to be, when it was correct. Could that have been influenced from the Revised Standard Version, catholic edition of 1950, I think it was. So all these modern Bibles are influenced by the Vatican if they accept papal concessions to the text, and that’s the world of cooper. I have one more slide here, psalm 119, and verse 105. God says his word is a lamp. So we associate God’s word with a lamp. We know the devil wants to be like the Most High. So when the devil creates these counterfeit Bibles, we’re taught in Job 41, verse 19, that the Antichrist has burning lamps coming out of his mouth, but the Vatican changes it from lamps to torches. See the Revised Standard Version, catholic edition of completely destroy the prophecy, which was already destroyed anyway.
You change one thing, you’re going to get a spirit of slumber. They keep all the Bibles retain the prophet that teaches lies. He is the tale. So we know the false prophet is described as a tale in Isaiah, chapter nine, verse 15. And we’re taught that Lucifer moves his false profits in the land of traffic. That’s a basic teaching on a Job, chapter 40, and also Ezekiel, chapter 17. And there’s other places in the Bible where we learn more about that. But rather than moving the false prophets by corrupting the Bible, which is really what we’re learning, the scholar of the New American Standard Bible just says he hangs his tail. So is he killing the prophets or are they really thinking about a crocodile or dinosaur? What’s going on? The scholars have, in my opinion, no idea of anything spiritual that God is teaching. It’s just a dumb natural testimony from a false Christ that they’re getting. And yet they feel like they’re qualified to teach Christians what’s going on in God’s Word. What does Jesus Christ say? This is the only thing that really matters.
Only few people are saved, and only a few saved people understand his speech. See John, chapter eight, Corinthians, chapter two. Matthew, chapter seven. Everyone else is in an unsafe state, being a child of the devil. That’s what Jesus says. So there’s only a few that understand his speech. So the idea that you can put Christian apologetics on the Internet and have all these visitors to YouTube channels or websites and have all these people make comments, only few actually know what the heck is going on because they have the Holy Spirit and they’re feeding on the unbroken scripture. Everyone else is speculating based on how they absorb their own understanding apart from what God says. So that’s why Jesus Christ is called the rock of offense, because hardly anyone wants to believe him, because he’s very offensive in his teachings.
Only God can choose to reveal himself to a person, and only God is going to give sight to few and blind money. That’s why Jesus came to give sight to few and to blind many. See the biblical sources that I’ve got there to read what Jesus says. The few saved people all slumbered and could not see God’s testimony because of dross in their vessels. See Matthew chapter 25, romans, chapter eleven, Proverbs chapter 25. And Isaiah chapter one for just a few places. I mean, this is really offensive. If you are a Christian and you’re seeing this, it shows you how devastating the famine is and how to discern. A spiritual testimony is really done by hardly anyone according to what the testimony of Jesus Christ is, because God sends a spirit of slumber to saved people because they start feeding on corruption or getting carried away captive by these Babylonian apologists, these scholars that want to explain their understanding to Christians, who in some cases just listen to the scholars instead of reading the Bible and believing on the Lord Jesus Christ.
So this is what the rock of offense teaches Jesus Christ questions will anyone believe Him? And anyone have faith when he comes? And that is a serious question, because without faith, it’s impossible to please God. And faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. So will anyone hear and believe the Word of God is what Jesus says before he comes. So Jesus Christ again is whittling down the people on the earth to a very small remnant of potential believers. So it’s not looking good. The only good about it is God is merciful and his mercy endure forever. And he’s not going to cast away his people forever. But there’s a lot of punishment going on right now, a lot of disbelief, a lot of slumbering people that their tables have been made a snare because they get their ears tickled by unsaved heathen scholars or people for profit Christian entertainers. That’s the real situation we’re going on, that we have going on in the world today. Discernment is based on gifts of the Holy Spirit. There is a testimony given to very few without slumber. So if you’re a true Christian and you have not been given a spirit of slumber and you’re feeding on an unbroken testimony, that’s great. There’s still a discernment based on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. So God will not necessarily reveal all things to everyone.
He’s going to reveal things based on his spiritual gifts and he wants people to edify one another. There are certain things that when I read in Scripture, I go to other Christians and have them help me with, because I am not able to discern certain levels. My former pastor and I helped each other greatly when it came to that type of stuff. And I learned from other 1611 believers and I also helped to edify them based on my spiritual gifts. And that’s the way God had intended it. He didn’t intend to give everything to one person so that they could go out and charge a bunch of money to people and create a religious cult or create a huge money making Christian business like the Televangelist or some of these DVD salesmen. So this is what God says no man is needed to teach a Christian. God also says that.
Now, that doesn’t mean that once you get saved. You can’t edify. When you edify, you’re not teaching someone. The Holy Ghost is teaching them because the Holy Ghost has taught you. That’s the difference. If you’re teaching someone and it’s not edifying and it’s not coming from the Holy Ghost, then it’s not at a spiritual level and it’s not fitting the description here. So I’m going to give some examples. Matthew, chapter 16.
16 And Simon Peter answered, and said, Thou art Christ the sonne of the liuing God.
17 And Iesus answered, and said vnto him, Blessed art thou Simon Bar Iona: for flesh and blood hath not reueiled it vnto thee, but my Father which is in heauen.
Keep that thought. Jesus Christ did not say to Peter, way to figure it out, Peter. You’re pretty smart for a fisherman. The scribes and Pharisees must have taught you well in the understanding God course you purchased from them. Of course, Jesus didn’t say that to Peter. Jesus made the point that God reveals spiritual things to people. That’s it. You’re not going to get it anywhere else. And that’s important to understand because there is a cult following with the lineage of Peter in the Church of Rome.
That just because you’re elected Pope, you’re now tagged, you now have the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven and everyone must submit to your silly teachings. And you’re going to sit in a city of gold with infinite wealth and beloved by the world and get your ring kissed by everyone that comes and visits you almost. No, that’s the devil. And the first thing Jesus Christ called Peter was Satan. Get thee behind me, Satan. Because Peter had his will in his heart, not the will of God. And you can read about that if you haven’t read that already in the Gospels.
So anything we know is revealed unto us by the power of the Holy Spirit, feeding off the true word of God, as God said that he neither intends nor permits the Christian from being confused, like the golden rule says. Well, let’s go to the Book of Romans, chapter eleven. According as it is written, god has given them the spirit of slumber. So I’m thinking of Matthew chapter 25. The saved, wise virgins that all slumbered and slept, but they had oil in their lamps, but God gave them a spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day.
And David saith, let their table be made a snare in a trap, and a stumbling block and a recompense unto them. Let their eyes be darkened that they may not see, and bow down their back always. So this is just one example in Scripture of how God shuts the eyes of his people because they go a horrid. And to have this silly golden rule say that God neither intends nor permits the Christian from being confused, while we live in a world of confusion and Christians are being carried captive by Egypt, their idols. See Daniel, chapter eleven. So the devil’s job, one of his jobs, is to cast doubt on the word of God. You have to take everything back to scripture. So if you have a golden rule, a biblical interpretation, it has to cross reference the true word of God. And this is the golden rule, because Jesus taught us here in Isaiah chapter 28, or in Romans chapter eleven, or in Matthew chapter 17 or whatever, you have to trace every precept back to God’s word or we wind up getting ourselves in trouble. It says in one John, chapter two,
But the anointing which ye haue receiued of him, abideth in you: and yee need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is trueth, and is no lye: and euen as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
I believe that because the Holy Spirit has taught me things and I can identify the experience of being taught by the Holy Spirit. It’s something that is not of this world. It is a supernatural event. And my experience may vary from yours, but I believe this. And I don’t need a man to teach me. But I’ll believe other true Holy Spirit filled Bible believers when they edify me, because God has given me the Holy Spirit to know whether they speak truth or not. 1 Thessalonians 5
“Proue all things: hold fast that which is good.”
You have to prove everything in this world. You can’t take anything at face value. If somebody comes to you and says they’re a Christian, you’ll know them by their fruits. What comes out of their mouth is going to give them away. Over time, they can’t confess Jesus Christ, except they do it by the Holy Ghost. And if you know this, you’ll know them by their fruits according to Jesus Christ. Prove all things.
If somebody offers you a Bible and they say it’s the word of God, prove it. You’ve got the Holy Spirit in you. God is going to teach you how to do that. And you can learn from other Christians as well. Job, chapter 32
Let me not, I pray you, accept any mans person: neither let me giue flattering titles vnto man.
22For I know not to giue flattering titles: in so doing my maker would soone take me away.
God is not a respect for persons. Putting a title in front of you to indicate somehow that God favors you more in terms of biblical understanding than others, such as doctor, PhD, theology, whatever. I’m not talking about titles in the church like deacon or pastor. It’s when those titles are misused in the church.
To oppress people and to abuse the church structure is when it becomes a problem. I’m talking about biblical scholarship. I’m a doctor of theology or I’m a doctor of religion or I’m a doctor of theosophy or whatever. You don’t learn in an academic setting what is taught by the Holy Spirit. They are conflicting with each other. They’re in opposition against each other. What you do is you learn from Jesus Christ testimony as the Holy Spirit leads you to all truth, and then you edify one another. But then you follow precept upon precept, line upon line. Here a little, there a little. And the Holy Spirit teaches you how he wrote testimonies all throughout God’s Word through various prophets to give you the information that God wants you to know. Isaiah, chapter 28.
9¶ Whome shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to vnderstand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milke, and drawen from the breasts.
So in other words, you’ve been born again. Now you’re getting off of milk, of the word, onto solid food. So you’re now getting off a natural understanding because you believe the plain speech and you’re getting onto solid food. You’re getting a spiritual understanding. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line. Here a little and there a little. So God is the same and he’s repeating Himself because it’s critical that he’ll teach you something in one place in the Bible and it will appear in spiritual language somewhere else, and yet again somewhere else. And the scholars are never going to know because they’re in a natural state, most of them at least. And even spiritual people, if they have a spirit of slumber, won’t be able to follow this. But we want to avoid loss and our judgment and follow Jesus.
So what we want to do is understand that God is going to give us precept upon precept. I’ll give one example. It tells us the Antichrist decrees false scriptures in Job 41, verse 19. That’s linked to Revelation, chapter eight, verse ten, where a final biblical abomination is given to the earth. And then you go from there back to Isaiah, chapter 14, and you understand why that’s happening, because Lucifer wants to be like God. He wants to have everyone confess with their mouths that Lucifer is God. And in doing so, it is the ultimate blasphemy against the Lord Jesus Christ. So that’s just one of many examples that can be given on how Christians understand the word of God. The heathen will not follow this. The heathen mind is thinking of crocodiles or whatever they are. In Job chapter 41, they go to verse 19. Out of his mouth go burning torches. Well, the crocodile usually doesn’t have burning torches out of his mouth, but maybe there’s a rare species that we haven’t found in Australia somewhere. I don’t know. It’s also confusing. And then they go to Revelation, chapter eight, verse ten, and this wormwood meteor in their minds comes burning as a torch, and they’ve got all this natural understanding and it just doesn’t fit with the happy world that they live in. That’s the heathen mind. And then for everyone else. The heathen just says, well, it’s also confusing. God loves all of his children. We don’t really need to be worried about this. We’re all going to be raptured out of here. And it’s coming straight from the Jesuit Bible. But who wants to believe that? View 1 Corinthians, chapter Two.
12 Now wee haue receiued, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that wee might know the things that are freely giuen to vs of God.
13 Which things also we speake, not in the words which mans wisedome teacheth, but which the holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spirituall.
14 But the naturall man receiueth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishnesse vnto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
It ties together everything perfectly. So cooper in his golden Rule, if he doesn’t have the Holy Spirit feeding off the true word of God, he’s confounded. He’s not a believer in Jesus Christ and he’s trying to use scholarly language to impress people. But He Himself was confused. We have to take everything back to Scripture. Christian discernment is for very few people. It’s not for many, and it’s for a select few. And even at that, as I mentioned before, god talks about sending a spirit of slumber to people that accept papal concessions except Ross and their vessels. And so there’s great penalties going on here. It says in Matthew Chapter 13
10 And the disciples came, and sayd vnto him, Why speakest thou vnto them in parables?
11 He answered, and said vnto them, Because it is giuen vnto you to know the mysteries of the kingdome of heauen, but to them it is not giuen.
So Jesus is exclusive, and he excludes people from understanding his speech. It’s not an even playing field. If there’s a million people going to a YouTube channel, maybe a handful of them will understand anything as it relates to God’s spiritual testimony is more consistent with what Jesus is saying than this popular doctrine today, that we’re all part of this big ecumenical happy Christian family and we can all use scholarship to figure out what God’s talking about. And it’s not that big of a deal to change pronouns in the testimony, because God loves all of us. We’re all of God’s children. That’s Babylonian babel, okay?
For whosoever hath to Him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance. But whosoever hath not from Him shall be taken away, even that he hath therefore speak eye to them in parables, because they sing see not and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. Again, Jesus Christ is emphasizing that nobody is going to understand his speech except he opens it up for that person who believes through faith, because he’s chosen the poor of this world who are rich in faith. He’s not choosing pompous people filled with their own wisdom that get the praise of men.
If you’re a Christian you’re not going to get the praise of men. You’ll have the praise of God someday and you have the praise of God now, if you’re a true believer, but you’re not going to get the praise of men. It doesn’t work both ways. Jesus Christ is the rock of offence in Luke chapter 24
44 And hee said vnto them, These are the words which I spake vnto you, while I was yet with you, þt all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, & in the Prophets, and in the Psalmes concerning me.
45 Then opened he their vnderstanding, that they might vnderstand the Scriptures,
Nobody’s going to understand anything except by the power of God when he opens it up to people. And even if you’re a saved Christian and you don’t have a spirit of slumber, you’re going to have an understanding based on your spiritual gifts.
So it is absolutely not an even playing field out there in the world of Christian discernment. And it becomes very difficult publishing Christian apologetics and trying to explain things when there is only a very small remnant that can even begin to understand things. So that’s why we want to avoid any emphasis on ourselves and give praise to God through the gift of the Holy Spirit and never tried to sell the wisdom that we’ve been given freely. That’s a conviction that I have and I pray that I’ll always have. In John chapter ten, it says,
4 And when he putteth foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.
5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voyce of strangers.
So if you have the Holy Spirit in you, why would someone like Cooper, if he had the Holy Spirit in him, think the American Standard Version is the word of God and participate on a greater abomination called the New American Standard Bible Committee, working alongside the same type of text with Jesuit Cardinal Maria Martini. Why would he do that? And why would anyone care if this guy has a title? It just diminishes any credibility in my mind from him being a Christian to begin with. If you start throwing fancy titles in front of your name, it means you’ve learned from the seminary, not from the precepts of God.
That’s what it means to me. I am not saying that every single person that puts a title like Doctor in front of their name is a lost heathen, but it can be a big snare. I’ve met some pretty solid individuals. I know one guy that is a medical doctor. He lives in Georgia and he went and got a PhD in theology. And he and I spoke and he revealed to me some spiritual things which indicated to me that he was a true Christian and I believe he is a true Christian. But also in continuing to talk with him. I realized that he was extremely limited in his spiritual understanding because his table was made a snare by the seminary and he accepted papal concessions to the word of God through the silly Blayney bible. So again, it doesn’t matter what your stature is in this world, how smart you are, what your wealth is. What matters is God looks at everybody and sees who has faith and who is willing to follow Jesus, no matter what test or trials God puts on them.
We can all learn from Job. It says in one Corinthians, chapter twelve. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant, you know that you were gentiles carried away onto these dumb idols. God’s talking about corrupt Bibles even as you were led wherefore I give you to understand that no man speaking by the spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. So none of these televangelists that are trying to make money and using these leavened lump false Bibles and they’re talking about praise the Lord, praise Jesus, Jesus is the Lord. And all this stuff, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s a natural testimony. Nobody’s going to confess Jesus Christ is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. God doesn’t pay any respect to the natural tongue using the name Jesus Christ. It is a spiritual testimony that only comes from people that have true faith and belief in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The heathen mind doesn’t understand that. Just thought I’d make that point. Big surprises are coming at judgement day for many. John, chapter eight.
43 Why doe yee not vnderstand my speech? euen because yee cannot heare my word.
44 Ye are of your father the deuill, and the lusts of your father ye will doe: hee was a murtherer from the beginning, and abode not in the trueth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his owne: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye beleeue me not.
46 Which of you conuinceth mee of sinne? And if I say the trueth, why doe ye not beleeue me?
47 He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore heare them not, because ye are not of God.
Jesus is talking about people that are unsaved, that don’t hear God’s word. God’s word is a spiritual testimony. You got to get through the plain speech and have faith so that God can get you off of milk, onto solid food and teach you spiritual things. And very few people ever discover that. So Jesus calls the children of the devil and that’s offensive. Have you heard that on the radio or the television?
That’s not a popular passage of scripture that the Televangelist is going to use because their goal is to make money. And the same with all these entertainers that are trying to turn a profit off of something that they cannot buy the truth sell, it not god doesn’t permit any truth being sold because we were given the truth freely. It’s a free gift and God tells us to freely give. So this scholarship where people are part of organized religion and as soon as one penny of profit becomes the carrot at the end of the stick, then things can go south very quickly. So we want to remain humble and in no way am I saying that sustaining missionaries or people that are trying to get out God’s word, that that’s wrong. It just can become a snare. You don’t want to have a goal of becoming wealthy off of what God has given to us freely.
Matthew, chapter seven. Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in there at because straight is the gate and narrow is the way which leadth unto life and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? There’s multiple layers of wisdom going on here. We are told to be aware of false prophets. Those are not only physical people, those are the corrupt prophets that appear in these false corrupt scriptures as well that pretend that these false Bibles, they pretend to confess that they’re from God, but God says he hasn’t sent them their prophets, but not from God.
They’re false prophets and thorns and thistles are symbolic of Babylon Satan, so you’ll know them by their fruits. The Holy Spirit will identify false prophets to you if you believe the Lord Jesus Christ. And it’s important to understand that you find eternal life. We don’t want our worst enemies to perish, but people need to believe the truth instead of getting their ears tickled by popular Christian culture where it’s one big happy ecumenical family and we can wave the banner of pride and all pretend that we are God’s children. Well, we’re all children of the devil until a very few amount of us get saved. And once you get saved, then there’s another level of punishment and that is a spirit of slumber which is going to have of the few that are saved, many of them will suffer loss because of the spirit of slumber that was sent to them because their table was made a snare. So you want to have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, you want to believe in his word and don’t accept concessions to it. Prove all things and don’t put your confidence in the scholars. Two Corinthians, chapter eleven. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. You don’t want to die in an unsafe state, and you don’t want to start confessing about Jesus Christ and giving apologetics unless you know you’ve received the Holy Ghost. You’ve endured the chastening, and God has put events that you could not have in your life to put you where you’re at today in order to be a missionary or in order to be part of a church that is getting the truth out. Otherwise it could be a huge snare. You want to stay away from the subject of Jesus unless you are truly a Christian, you have to have faith. You don’t want to be worshiping a false Christ is what I’m trying to say. 1611 believers, feedback on the Golden Rule. Early on in the sermon lesson, I mentioned that I’m going to go out and talk to other 1611 believers.
So I selected I took some time the past couple of weeks to get this information that I think is valuable for everyone watching and listening right now. I decided to go with a couple of people that I know are 1611 believers that don’t accept Blayneys concessions to the word of God. They don’t accept papal concessions. They understand Rome and the wiles of the devil. And they’re true Christians. They have the Holy Spirit in them. But what sets these two people apart is I selected people that are extremely strong academically. Not that in and of itself means that there are any better as a Christian or they have greater discernment. But what I wanted to do is kind of counterfeit or not counterfeit, but I wanted to come up with a person that has faith, that has similar academic skills and backgrounds to David Cooper.
Both of these people are virtually straight A types, master’s type degrees, very high reading comprehension. And I’m being very humble by saying this because one of these people, I think nobody in the United States scored higher on their reading and English test as part of their college entrance exams than one of these people did. They got perfect scores. The other person has numerous reading comprehension awards as well. So I selected two extremely intelligent people that have secular skills that I will admit are beyond my abilities, but they also have faith, and that’s what’s important. So I look at these people as very strong academics with faith. What do they think of the Golden Rule? And I want to let everybody know that I gave them Cooper’s Golden Rule. And I didn’t give them any of my thoughts. I just gave it to them and they said, give me your feedback. I didn’t bias it with like, will you read this and let me know what’s wrong with it. I didn’t say that. I just said, read the Golden Rule and give me your feedback. What does it mean to you? Does it match Scripture? That’s all I said. Person number one, when I interviewed them, they said that it’s similar to the Oaklands Razor, which I never heard of. So right from the beginning, I realized, wow, I did a good job by selecting people that are extremely strong academically.
And you can research what the Oakland’s Razor is. I gave a link down at the bottom, but it says, they said, the approach has been proven to be detrimental and harmful. Why would we use a philosophical principle which is limiting to a spiritually discerned book? Cooper’s quote is meant to confuse all except a select scholarly few, and I do not understand it. So if a person with the strongest type of academic background, straight A type, perfect reading comprehension, perfect English scores, if they don’t understand it, I questioned if Cooper even understood what he was saying.
So the scholars do not receive God’s word without faith in the Holy Ghost, and I wonder if they even understand their own doctrines. Where did it lead Cooper? All of his teachings that I’ve read comes straight from Jesuitism, in my opinion, because I’ve read the Jesuit Bible and I’m familiar with the Vatican and their teachings. As far as I’m concerned, Cooper could have been a Jesuit priest. I don’t know that for a fact, but he might as well have been because he’s spewing nonsense at a scholarly level that doesn’t tie into Scripture. And a lot of his personal teachings line up perfectly with what the Vatican teaches.
So this person, fortunately gave me this feedback, which I found to be quite interesting, and I’m glad that they agreed that it’s kind of silly, this whole Golden Rule. The other person simply said, this Golden Rule of Bible interpretation just doesn’t fit the spiritually discerned Scripture that saved people receive. The second person, who’s also equally strong academically, just says it just doesn’t fit with anything in the Bible. Bible is spiritually discerned. This person has been taught by the Holy Spirit out of the 1611 Bible and has read also a lot of these Vatican Bibles cover to cover. And the Holy Spirit has given this person all that this person needs to know.
So got two very strong academic people that have given independent feedback that I didn’t lead them to in any way on the Golden Rule. And it kind of gave me a sense of relief because I thought the Golden Rule was absolutely silly. Well, so do they. I just wanted to put that in because a lot of times I’ve known true Christians to get intimidated by people that have much higher levels of education than they do. And suddenly our fallen nature is such that we start believing these people with these flattering titles, the PhDs or the theological doctors or whatever, or just because they’re pastors and they graduated from this seminary or that seminary, we start putting confidence in them and there’s no need to do that. No,
God doesn’t want disorder in the structure of the church. He’s also not a respecter of person. So pastors are still subject to the rules that God sets forth for being a pastor. You don’t want to mislead people. So, in conclusion, prove all things. And I emphasize that because that’s what David would do. He would prove his armour and if it didn’t work out, he wouldn’t take it to battle. Well, we need the whole armour of God to escape the wiles of the devil. So we have to not only be saved, but we have to have the word of God in an unbroken state. In Psalm 118, it says, it is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. I think that fits the Golden Rule of Bible interpretation and Cooper’s scholarly word choices quite perfectly. Cooper didn’t know what he was talking about, in my opinion.
And we need to go to the Lord, not put our confidence in men. That’s how you get people like the Pope, where everybody’s putting confidence in the Pope, or not everyone, but a lot of people. God tells us he is a king over all the children of pride. You don’t want a religious cult leader telling you what God says. You want to get it straight from God. There seems to be no end in sight with Vatican influence, christian entertainment, and apologetics. The Golden Rule is not supported by God’s word, and the fruit of scholarship includes the Vatican influence teachings of Lucifer. There seems to be no end to these teachings. I’m going to close by quoting Romans, chapter four, verse three,
3 For what saith the Scripture? Abraham beleeued God, and it was counted vnto him for righteousnes.
Not much else to say. Thank you for watching and listening and I trust that this will be a blessing to many out there. I will look forward to another sermon lesson probably. I’ll take a couple more weeks to get it done right, to take enough time to get meaningful content in. Until then, God bless and thank you.
